Rise Of The Rune Lords
Thassalonia was a vast empire ruled in parts by individuals of great power whom worshiped the seven sins as a means of attaining power and control. They made ample use of the Sihedron. The rulers were referred to as Runelords and were constantly at war with one another. the empire collapsed about 10,000 years ago, according to some scholars. Though they are believed not to be alive after so long a period of time, the echoes of their creations and powers still ripple into the present. Their ruins are incorporated into numerous structures throughout Varisia.
Thassalonian runes are a relic of that age also. There are three distinct forms that denote the type of meaning/power employed. Curvy runes denote positivity, while spikey is negative. A mixture of the two within the same script represent neutrality.
